The story of Salvo Valenti
Salvo Valenti is a young Sicilian to whom the Archangel San Michele, appearing to him for the first time in 2008, asked to place a painting that portrays him near a spring on the Madonie. Since then the place has been a destination for pilgrimages, Salvo continues to receive the apparitions of San Michele and there are numerous healings and graces obtained through his intercession. “I am Michael the servant, General and Archangel of the Lord; I lead hosts of Angels and watch over the four corners of the Universe. I destroy every form of evil that, coming from the darkness, can disturb the breath of God because it is from the breath of God that light, life and every form of visible and invisible thing come ”.

Petralia Sottana, a small town in the heart of the Madonie Park, in Sicily, has been the destination for several years of a pilgrimage to the sacred figure of St. Michael the Archangel. According to the now increasingly widespread belief, the "prince of the celestial militias" appeared several times to Salvo Valenti, a young man always attentive to his commitments of faith, "chosen" to transmit the new message of the saint. San Michele wanted his image to be placed at an altitude of 1300 meters, at the foot of a Marian shrine, already a place of devotion.
